A third-grade teacher was trying to improve her students\u2019 vocabulary during language class.<\/p>\n
So she stood in front of the room smiling and said:<\/p>\n
\u201cAlright, class. Can anyone name something that ends with \u2018tor\u2019\u2026 and eats things?\u201d<\/p>\n
The first little boy shot his hand up excitedly.<\/p>\n
\u201cOoh! Ooh! Alligator!\u201d<\/p>\n
The teacher beamed.<\/p>\n
\u201cVery good! That\u2019s an excellent word!\u201d<\/p>\n
The class clapped politely while the boy sat back down proudly.<\/p>\n
Then another student raised his hand.<\/p>\n
\u201cPredator!\u201d<\/p>\n
The teacher nodded approvingly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWonderful! That\u2019s another very big word. Excellent job!\u201d<\/p>\n
She looked around the classroom.<\/p>\n

From the back corner of the room, Little Johnny slowly raised his hand with that dangerous look teachers learn to fear.<\/p>\n
The teacher hesitated immediately.<\/p>\n
Because Johnny never raised his hand unless chaos was about to happen.<\/p>\n
Still trying to encourage participation, she sighed and said:<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, Johnny?\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnny stood confidently and said:<\/p>\n
\u201cVibrator.\u201d<\/p>\n
The entire classroom went dead silent.<\/p>\n
The teacher nearly dropped her coffee mug.<\/p>\n
\u201cW-WHAT did you say?!\u201d<\/p>\n
Johnny repeated proudly:<\/p>\n

Several kids started laughing instantly while the teacher turned bright red.<\/p>\n

Johnny looked genuinely confused.<\/p>\n

The teacher stared at him in horror.<\/p>\n

Johnny frowned.<\/p>\n
