Arthur smiled.<\/p>\n
“So I took my doctor’s advice.”<\/p>\n
“What advice?”<\/p>\n
Arthur took another sip of coffee.<\/p>\n
“Whenever you feel chest pain, stop immediately.”<\/p>\n
His friend blinked.<\/p>\n
“Okay…”<\/p>\n
Arthur shrugged.<\/p>\n
“Turns out I didn’t have to stop once.”<\/p>\n
The friend stared at him.<\/p>\n
“That’s incredible!”<\/p>\n
Arthur grinned.<\/p>\n
“No…”<\/p>\n
He pointed at his chest.<\/p>\n
“The incredible part is that my heart survived hearing her ask, ‘So what do you want to do tonight, Grandpa?'”<\/p>\n
The table burst out laughing.<\/p>\n
His friend nearly spilled his coffee.<\/p>\n
After a minute he managed to ask:<\/p>\n
“So what happened after that?”<\/p>\n
Arthur smiled.<\/p>\n
“She tucked me into bed, kissed me on the forehead, and told me not to stay up too late.”<\/p>\n
The friend looked confused.<\/p>\n
“Then what?”<\/p>\n
Arthur shrugged.<\/p>\n
“Then she spent an hour teaching me how to use the hotel Wi-Fi.”<\/p>\n
The friend laughed so hard he started coughing.<\/p>\n
Finally he wiped tears from his eyes and said:<\/p>\n
“Arthur, you’re telling me you spent your wedding night learning Wi-Fi passwords?”<\/p>\n
Arthur nodded.<\/p>\n
“Absolutely.”<\/p>\n
Then he leaned in one last time and said:<\/p>\n
“At my age, successfully connecting to the internet is a much bigger achievement than anything else.”<\/p>\n
