A priest and a nun were traveling across a remote desert when disaster struck.<\/p>\n
Their old camel suddenly collapsed from exhaustion and died.<\/p>\n
With no vehicle, almost no water, and miles of endless sand in every direction, they realized rescue was unlikely.<\/p>\n
For three days they struggled forward under the blazing sun.<\/p>\n
Their water ran out.<\/p>\n
Their food disappeared.<\/p>\n
By the fourth evening, they found a small rock that offered a little shade and sat down, convinced they wouldn’t survive another day.<\/p>\n
The priest looked at the nun with a gentle smile.<\/p>\n
“Sister,” he said quietly, “it looks like this is the end.”<\/p>\n
She nodded sadly.<\/p>\n
After a long silence, he cleared his throat.<\/p>\n
“I’ve devoted my entire life to the Church, and I’ve never known the touch of a woman.”<\/p>\n
He looked embarrassed.<\/p>\n
“Before we die… would you let me see you without your habit? Just once.”<\/p>\n
The nun thought about it for a moment.<\/p>\n
Then she smiled kindly.<\/p>\n
“If it’s truly your final wish…”<\/p>\n
She slowly removed her habit.<\/p>\n
The priest stared in amazement.<\/p>\n
“You are beautiful,” he whispered.<\/p>\n
A moment later, the nun looked at him and said,<\/p>\n
“Father… if we’re sharing final wishes, I have one too.”<\/p>\n
“Of course,” he replied.<\/p>\n
“I’ve never seen a man without his clothes.”<\/p>\n
The priest blushed.<\/p>\n
Then, figuring they had nothing left to lose, he removed his robes.<\/p>\n
The nun looked him up and down for a few seconds.<\/p>\n
Then a huge smile spread across her face.<\/p>\n
“I think we’re saved.”<\/p>\n
The priest blinked.<\/p>\n
“Saved? How?”<\/p>\n
Still smiling, she pointed downward and said,<\/p>\n
“Because that thing you’re carrying can point us toward the nearest oasis!”<\/p>\n
The priest frowned in confusion.<\/p>\n
“It can’t do that.”<\/p>\n
The nun laughed.<\/p>\n
“Maybe not…”<\/p>\n
