A Priest Made One Final Request Before Dying in the Desert… The Nun’s Answer Saved Them Both

A priest and a nun were traveling across a remote desert when disaster struck.

Their old camel suddenly collapsed from exhaustion and died.

With no vehicle, almost no water, and miles of endless sand in every direction, they realized rescue was unlikely.

For three days they struggled forward under the blazing sun.

Their water ran out.

Their food disappeared.

By the fourth evening, they found a small rock that offered a little shade and sat down, convinced they wouldn’t survive another day.

The priest looked at the nun with a gentle smile.

“Sister,” he said quietly, “it looks like this is the end.”

She nodded sadly.

After a long silence, he cleared his throat.

“I’ve devoted my entire life to the Church, and I’ve never known the touch of a woman.”

He looked embarrassed.

“Before we die… would you let me see you without your habit? Just once.”

The nun thought about it for a moment.

Then she smiled kindly.

“If it’s truly your final wish…”

She slowly removed her habit.

The priest stared in amazement.

“You are beautiful,” he whispered.

A moment later, the nun looked at him and said,

“Father… if we’re sharing final wishes, I have one too.”

“Of course,” he replied.

“I’ve never seen a man without his clothes.”

The priest blushed.

Then, figuring they had nothing left to lose, he removed his robes.

The nun looked him up and down for a few seconds.

Then a huge smile spread across her face.

“I think we’re saved.”

The priest blinked.

“Saved? How?”

Still smiling, she pointed downward and said,

“Because that thing you’re carrying can point us toward the nearest oasis!”

The priest frowned in confusion.

“It can’t do that.”

The nun laughed.

“Maybe not…”

“…but if you turn it around, we can ride it like another camel!” 😄
